Why Grass-fed?

The practice of raising grass-fed cattle supports both financial and ecological sustainability. Healthy, wholesome ranch raised beef that will efficiently convert grasslands to healthy affordable meat is one of the keys to sustainable ranching. In New Zealand, Turihaua cattle have been selected for total grass finishing for 98 years. This wealthy pool of genetics is now available in the United States at our Fair Oaks Cattle Ranch. Our cattle progress from mother's milk to clean fresh pastures on natural grasses. We add nothing to what nature provides:

  • Our beef is all natural with no added hormones or antibiotics
  • Cattle finished on grass have significantly higher levels of beta-carotene content than animals finished in a feedlot
  • Grass-fed beef is naturally high in Omega 3 Fatty Acids
  • Grass-fed beef has 27% less fat than grain-fed beef
